People:

The CARA region is home over 20% of the U.S. population (Census 2000). The geographic distribution, health and social choices of that population are primary factors in land-use decision making and are strongly effected by any change in climate.

The Population Change Primer (under review) contains information pertinent to population dynamics and their effect on the use of the land, the effects of changing climate and potential effects of changing population on global emissions and climate

Current Population contains maps illustrating the state of the Mid-Atlantic population as of Census 2000.

The Population Projections section contains maps illustrating a projected population and population change from 2000 to 2050.
