The maps at the left show the projected change in land use by percentage of land area change of open space. The models calculated values for the Mid-Atlantic counties of the CARA region for 10 year periods from the year 2000 to 2050. Urban counties with less than 40% open space are outside of the scope of the model and are represented by a gray shading.
