Climate Change in the Adirondacks...

Climate scientists use scientifically based global climate models (GCM) to produce projections of climate into the future. These models use historical data and assumptions about future emissions levels andd other factors that go into climate variation. The visualization below presents the results of the seven derived models that are being used in the CARA project. You can use the controls to select different time periods, seasons or alternate emissions scenarios. When viewing past time periods observations from the historic climate data are presented in the black bar on the graph and the model results are represented by the colored bars.

You are viewing Data for the Indian Lake 2SW climate station.

Or you can browse data from stations throughout the Mid-Atlantic at the CARA site's Historical Climate tools.
